Q. What kind of church is First?

First Baptist is a member of the Southern Baptist denomination. What this means is that we have the opportunity to partner with many like-minded ministries across our city and world, taking the hope and love of Christ to those who need Him. For church doctrine and theology please go here.

Q. Where are you located?

We are located at 525 South Avenue in downtown Springfield, MO. The church is easily accessible from Campbell, South Avenue, Elm Street or Mount Vernon Street. Check out the map here for directions.

Q. Where should I park?

We have entrances on South Avenue, Elm Street and Mount Vernon. If this is your first time, it would be best to come in the entrance off of Mount Vernon or Elm, and use our reserved guest parking.

Our campus has two main buildings connected with an over-path walkway. The Christian Life Center (also know as the CLC) sits to the west of campus and the Eastham Building and Main Worship Center is on the east side of our campus.

The main doors to enter in are under the over-path walkway connecting the CLC and Eastham Building. You can also enter on the North and East side of the Eastham Building and Main Worship Center. Here you will be greeted by a friendly face to answer any questions you have about where to go, where your kids will go, and anything else you need to know.

Q. What do you have for my kids?

In scripture, Jesus talks about Children being important, and at First they come first in what we do. At First, your kids will learn what God and the Bible are all about while surrounded by adults who are committed to providing a safe, fun environment. At First, our staff and volunteers desire to guide students in their developing years into a life-changing relationship with Christ.
